Yesterday, Jacobs Engineering Group announced it received a contract from the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) to provide construction inspection services for the Smart Moves 2015 – North program. Smart Moves 2015 – North involves the installation of a camera surveillance system on I-78, the installation of a dynamic message system on Route 23, and two truck safety warning systems.
The NJDOT’s Smart Moves program consists of developing, implementing, monitoring and promoting alternative business and commuter travel choices and intermodal connections. This program will utilize a network of cameras to identify incidents and deploy emergency services to alert motorists of changes in the driving patterns.
With this contract, Jacobs is overseeing inspection work in the City of Newark; the townships of Clinton, Parsippany-Troy Hills, and West Milford; and the counties of Essex, Hunterdon, Morris, and Passaic, New Jersey.
Today, Jacobs Engineering Group announced the conclusion of the Company’s work for the Main Stand redevelopment at The Liverpool Football Club’s Anfield Stadium, Liverpool, United Kingdom (UK). Jacobs was the engineering design consultant on the expansion. The Company provided structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering services. It also provided public health, lifts and escalators, fire and acoustic consulting services.
Anfield Stadium’s Main Stand has undergone transformation into one of the largest all-seat single stands in European football.
